Behind the Scenes: How Our Approval Process Works
Transparency is Part of Our Promise
At AgentPlays, we believe publishers deserve to understand exactly how their submissions are evaluated. A transparent approval process builds trust on both sides — publishers know what is expected, and buyers know what "Approved" actually means.
The AgentPlays agent review decision flow
What Our Admin Team Actually Checks
- Description accuracy — Does the agent do what it claims? No vague promises.
- Demo functionality — We test every demo link. Broken or fake demos are rejected.
- Image quality — Screenshots must clearly show the agent interface or output.
- Category accuracy — Wrong categories confuse buyers and reduce agent visibility.
- Pricing clarity — Pricing model must be selected and description should not be deliberately vague.
- Contact completeness — At minimum, a working email is required for buyers to reach out.
How Long Does Review Take?
New agent submissions are reviewed within 1–2 business days during normal operating hours. Resubmissions after rejection are prioritised and typically reviewed within 24 hours.
Why Agents Get Rejected
- Missing or broken demo link (most common reason)
- Description too vague to verify capabilities
- Category does not match agent function
- Organisation profile incomplete
- Duplicate of an existing listing
The Resubmission Path
Rejection is not final. Every rejection comes with specific admin feedback. Address each point, update your listing, and resubmit — most publishers are approved on their second submission. The quality bar exists to protect buyers and ultimately benefits publishers by ensuring a high-trust marketplace.
Follow the checklist above and most agents are approved within 2 business days.
